Dear Editor,
I would like to make a few comments about our work and the continuing struggle for myself and other younger members of our belief in trying to make head and tails of what we hear and what we are told by various mediums and their guides.
In my experience, I have seen many different mediums that constantly receive impressions, ideas and phrases that sadly only come from their own subconscious mind. Only through lack of knowledge of the workings of the mind they suffer under the illusion or misconception that such words, phrases or ideas are direct from spirit.
Instead of subjecting such messages and ideas to the scrutiny of reason and common sense. Taking only that which is true and worthy and rejecting the rest. Instead they act upon every impression they receive. Even though it may even be incomplete, believing it to be a command from spirit or a guide.
In other words a lot of mediums I have seen in action, because of a lack of understanding directly received impressions in their conscious minds from their subconscious minds and take everything they get as from spirit and not worrying if it really is spirit or their own ego or imagination.
