"When the Student is ready - the Master appears" |
||||
| this part of the story begins late 1979 | ||||
| We had been living at Lansdowne Estate a lovely old historical property on
the edge of Goulburn, a city in New South Wales Australia about an hour and a quarter drive from Canberra. For the
preceding 3 years our time had been mainly taken up with restoring the 150 year old
homestead and rebuilding members of our family with each other and in essence putting into
practice some of that which we had learned during the previous years with the Spiritualist
movement in Australia. In 1975 I was taken by a friend to a local community centre where a group of people were forming the Canberra Spiritualist's Association. It was there I went hoping to find some answers to the many questions I had in regard of the interesting and unusual occurrences that surrounded me. For some unknown reason I found myself with the ability to 'write'. In the evenings I would just sit down at the typewriter and without any thought some 1000 words per night would pour forth to paper. They were of a time long ago with style and content that seemed a product far from the recesses of my own mind. During this period I was experiencing visions, 'interesting' mind journeys akin to a meditative state, these I would record hoping for to find some rhyme or reason.
My 'experiences' came to the attention of a well-known and respected researcher and clairvoyant who arranged for some investigation which resulted in a series of 'regression' with a respected and professionally qualified hypno-therapist The investigation and results were quite stunning. The combination of results from the 'regression' accompanied by the recognition of my written work (by recognised Guild and Society). Likened to that of an author/s some 120 years prior to my birth with photograph similarity to portraiture of the same authors led me to 'believe' that I could well be a reincarnation of that same novelist. |

Within 3 months copyright was registered for 4 story lines with the Australian Writers Guild and I was accepted as an associate member of The Australian Society of Authors on the merit of 'my ' work'. In 1975 when I had gone with Faye to the new Spiritualist group in Canberra I anticipated some help and explanation for what I was experiencing. Looking for some answers it was suggested I must be a' reincarnation' of that author to whom my work had been likened. Certainly that answer seemed to suit me at the time. The answers to all the many other questions that had surfaced, as well- meaning and helpful these people were, it was obvious they were unable to answer my questions .The knowledge was just not there. It was then my serious searching along the path of enlightenment really commenced. Following our departure from Canberra to Goulburn my 'searching' was more withinand seemed enveloped in 'stillness' |

| After about 3
years when we were selling our home and prepared to purchase another; ' something'
prompted me to suggest to Brian my husband the following:- Rather than stay in Australia
we should travel to England for a time where he could visit his parents and I could
research 'my novels'.
We sold the property, placed our goods in storage, flew to the UK and following some days with family in Essex travelled to Yorkshire. ************************ |

| We soon reached Haworth and met Mary and Arthur who gave to us the key to the little cottage in West Lane that was to become our 'special place'. We walked and wandered and explored Places I had never walked before, yet had described so clearly and fondly in those early writings in 1975. |

The guest Platform medium was a Mr. Albert Best. The service was excellent and the Mediumship of Albert Best was extraordinary. The evidence of life after death he was able to present I had never before before been fortunate to experience such a high standard of Mediumship. |

The President and his wife and members of the Church had made us most welcome when we stayed or our hot cup of tea after the service. It was at this time we were invited to return for 'supper' to a wonderful old home on the moors where Albert was staying during his visit to Keighley. |

|
It
was during supper that Albert happened to mention
a man by the name of Higginson. The name was unknown to me but was soon to be the 'light'that was to show the way ahead on my spiritual journey. The story of "The Student" will unfold - to be continued:
